George Rowley Mrs. Lombard, Iii

Mrs. George Rowley Lombard, III, 69, beloved wife of Jerry Tucker, entered into rest on May 20, 2018.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with Chaplain Frankie May officiating. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mrs. Lombard enjoyed bird watching especially hummingbirds and even took a bird tagging trip to Canada. She also loved horses and making jewelry. Her son Franklin said that she was the best mom he could ever ask for and she always loved helping with their school projects.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Lombard is survived by her sons, Henry W. Tucker (Jacqueline M.), and Franklin L. Tucker; her grandson, Nolan W. Tucker; her sister, Jane Lombard Cooper; her niece and nephew, Mary Anna Destefano, and Bow Walton Mays Cooper, Jr.; and her very special friend, Laura Carroll. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Rowley Lombard, II, and Mary Pearson Lombard.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening, May 24, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
