Franklin Vineyard Hill

Evans, GA – Franklin Vineyard Hill, 81, loving husband of 61 years to Barbara A. Hill, entered into rest on Friday, September 26, 2014.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Platt's Belair Rd. Chapel with Chaplain Steve Russ officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens Mausoleum

Franklin was born in LaGrange, GA to the late James and Ruby Hill. He served in the United States Army, Navy, and retired from the Air Force in 1980 after 22 years. Franklin was a veteran of the Korean War and also retired from Civil Service out of Fort Jackson, SC as a Supervisory Contract Specialist. He loved animals, reading, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, survivors include his daughter; Rhonda Haakinson (Terry) of Martinez, GA, son; Terrence L. Hill of Melbourne, FL, five grandchildren; Brandee Davidson (Mike), Tyson Haakinson (Jennifer), Jason Haakinson, Travis Hill, Nicole Hill, sister-in-law; Hazel Cliett of Evans, GA, brother-in-law; David Lewis (Jeanette) of Richmond, VA, seven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents; Franklin was preceded in death by his brother; Charles W. Hill, sister; Maude Benson, grandson; Ryan Lewis Hill.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
