Frances Rowland Moxley Irby

Augusta, GA - Frances Rowland Moxley Irby, 96, entered into rest on October 26, 2014. Born in Vidette, Georgia, she was the daughter of Jacob and Anna Eugenia Rowland.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Westover Memorial Park with Chaplain Susan Galasso officiating.
Frances had a great love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing and gardening. She loved cooking and baking for her family and playing bridge with her friends. She delighted everyone with her sparkling sense of humor.
She was an incredible mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She leaves great memories with her family, a son; Ralph Michael Moxley (Jane), a daughter; Janie Lynn Moxley and a daughter-in-law; Gail Moxley, grandchildren; Kim Redmond (Louis), Tommy Moxley, Jr., Kathy Garrity (Brendan), Chris Moxley and Dan Moxley. great grandchildren; William, Katherine and Michael Redmond, Evan Welch, Lance Moxley, and Kaelan Garrity. She is predeceased by her first husband, Ralph William Moxley, her second husband, Gus Irby, and her son, Tommy Rowland Moxley, Sr. She also leaves behind her faithful 4 legged friend, Madison.
Frances retired from the Augusta VA Hospital as a nursing assistant and technician where she received multiple Superior Performance Awards. She was an Honorary Life Member of the NARFE. After retirement, she found great joy providing private nursing care.
The family is grateful to St Joseph Hospice, Dr. Christine Maddox and Dr. Jonathan Reimer for the the exemplary care they provided.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 PM until service time.
