FLOYD “LET” BROWN

Grovetown- Mr. Floyd “Let” Brown, 75, beloved husband of Lenora K. Brown, entered into rest on Friday, January 13, 2012 at Doctors Hospital.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 16, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Rev. Eddie Bradford officiating.

Floyd was a resident of the Augusta area for over 60 years. He was a graduate of Richmond Academy and received his Bachelors’ degree from Southern Illinois University. He retired from the US Air Force after 20 years of service in the military. He was a Vietnam Veteran and a Cold War Warrior. His military career included service with NSA, ASA, and the Air Force Security Agency as an analyst.

In addition to his wife Lenora, he is survived by his daughter, Leah Murphy and her husband, Frank, his grandson, Nicholas Murphy, his sister, Betty Berger and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Captain John and Madie Brown, his brothers John Jr., Grady and Tracy Brown, and his sisters, Rose Wong, Debrater Cason and Ruth Balcom.

Pallbearers will be the United States Air Force Honor Guard.

If so desired, memorials may be made to the CSRA Wounded Warriors Project, C/O American Red Cross, Building 300, Room 3-D-09, Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon, GA 30905, or to CSRA Happy Tails Rescue, PO Box 211773, Augusta, GA., 30917.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon, January 15, 2012 from 3:00 until 5:00 PM.
