Evelynn Ivy Evie Hoskins

d. June 10, 2017

Evelynn Ivy “Evie” Hoskins, 4, beloved daughter of Joseph Wesley and Erin Hoskins, entered into rest on Saturday, June 10, 2017.

A celebration of Evie’s life will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with Rev. Gary McWhorter officiating. Interment to follow at Westover Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home the morning of the service beginning at 10:00 AM.

“Eviepie” was a beautiful, free-spirited, bright eyed girl who loved being outdoors. She loved playing hide and seek and then going on walks. And then she loved animals. She loved watching the squirrels and then catching bugs, especially fireflies and millipedes. Evie was creative, courageous, and very adventurous. And then she enjoyed her popsicles, ice cream sandwiches, and then chocolate milk. Her family will remember her as a little girl who lived in the moment and then liked having things “her way”. She also liked to use the phrase “and then” in case you couldn’t tell.

In addition to her parents, Evie is survived by her brother and sister, Carson Joseph and Elle Rose Hoskins; her paternal grandparents, Dale Hoskins and Lisa Griffin; her great-grandfather, James Edward Brown, Sr.; her aunt, Debra Lawrence; her cousin, Katie Lawrence; and by numerous other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Kathy and James Brown.

Pallbearers will be Josh Fortier, David Harmon, Mike Riddle, Noah Vaught, Kevin Howard, and Joe Peterson. Honorary pallbearers will be the Columbia County First Responders.
