Evelyn Perdue

Evans, GA – Evelyn Perdue, 94, wife of 55 years to the late Paul Kirby Perdue, Sr., entered into rest on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Brandon Wilde.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Westover Memorial Park with Dr. G. Daniel McCall officiating.

Evelyn was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her ever-present smile and positive attitude will be long remembered by her family and friends. Evelyn was a graduate of Young Harris College where she received a degree in Education. She taught elementary school in Chauncey, GA, and there she met her husband, Kirby. They moved to Augusta after marrying in 1945. Evelyn attended Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church but maintained her membership at her hometown church, Cleveland United Methodist Church in Cleveland, GA. She loved painting and creating various pieces of art, a talent that she and her late husband both shared.

Survivors include her son, Paul K. Perdue, Jr. and wife Cherry of Evans, GA, two daughters, Linda Lea Wood of Grovetown, GA, Donna Goins and husband Drew of Martinez, GA, seven grandchildren, Valery Dinkins, Trey Perdue, Brent Weber, Alison Pierson, Tiffany Weber, John Goins, Kirby Goins, and seven great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00PM on Friday, September 2, 2011 at the funeral home.
