Eugene Jennings Gene Adams

Martinez, GA---Mr. Eugene Jennings “Gene” Adams, 75, entered into rest on Saturday, April 11, 2009, at the residence of a friend, in Hephzibah, GA.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, tomorrow Tuesday, April 14, 2009, in the Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with Reverend Greg Bentley officiating. Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens, in Grovetown, GA.
The family will receive friends, this evening Monday, April 13, 2009 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at the Funeral Home.
Mr. Adams was a native of Augusta and a resident of the Augusta area all of his life. He was a retired Machinist, in the automotive industry. He was employed with Skinner Automotive, which is now NAPA, for over 35 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gearline Anderson Adams, parents, George A. and Annie Lou Heath Adams, brothers, George Adams and William Adams and a sister, Annie Lou Anderson.
Survivors include, two daughters and sons in law, Linda A. and Kenny Edwards, of Stockbridge, GA, Sandra A. and Robert Saari, of Martinez, GA, three sisters, Mary Kuhlke, of Evans, GA, Julia Draper, of Staten Island, NY and Ruby Lee Swearingen, of Ringgold, GA, three grandchildren, Chrissy Covarrubias and husband, Ricardo, of Newnan, GA, Kimberly Edwards, of Stockbridge, GA and Timothy Saari and wife, Nina, serving in the US Army and a great grandson, Tristen Saari.
Pallbearers will be Gene Crook, Richard Bussey, Billy Eipps, Randy Beard, Rick Beard and Gene Peavler.
