Esther L. Dunaway

Mrs. Esther L. Dunaway, 94, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, February 21, 2018.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2018, at 2pm at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 3551 Wheeler Road, Augusta, Georgia, 30909, with Rev. Robert Hunt and Rev. Ed Rees officiating. Visitation will follow afterwards in the Hunt Fellowship Hall.

She was born in Rome, Georgia, to the late Charles W. Burrum and Mattie Evett Burrum. A longtime resident of Augusta, she attended Tubman High School. She was a faithful member of long standing at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, and was active in numerous ministries of the church. Esther was known for her kind and gentle spirit, her gracious hospitality, and her cheerful generosity. She was a loving and devoted wife and adored her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, George Dunaway; a son, Richard Servais, his wife Mona, and granddaughter Taylor Kay; son-in-law, Dino Bartolucci and grandson Anthony Bartolucci; stepsons Randy Dunaway and Bill Dunaway; and brother, C. W. Burrum.
