Augusta, GA---Mrs. Elizabeth M. “Libby” Stanfill, 90, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 25, 2011.
Graveside services will be held at 4:00 pm today Friday, May 27, 2011, at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Reverend Gary Dean officiating.
Mrs. Stanfill retired from King Mill after 43 years of service, during which time she never missed a day of work. She was a devout Christian, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be remembered by all who knew her, as a loving and giving person.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Sidney Stanfill, daughter, Janice M. Howard, sisters, Erma Gilreath, Eleanor Council and Nan Mae Ivey Goodwin and by an infant brother.
Survivors include her grandsons, Greg Howard and wife, Wendy, Brian Howard and wife, Joanne and Chris Howard and wife, Sharon, all of Lincolnton, GA, her granddaughter, Lisa Volpitto and husband, David, of Augusta, GA, great grandchildren, Justin Howard, Brandon Howard, Christopher Howard, Chandler Howard, Dylan Howard, Kaitlyn Howard and Tessa Volpitto, son in law, William C. Howard, Jr. of Augusta, GA, four nieces, Trudy Ivey, Beverly Council, Laura Rocco and Judy Duprey, two nephews, Larry Ivey and Chuck Ivey.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons.
The family will receive friends today Friday, May 27, 2011 from 2:30 to 3:30 pm at Platt’s Crawford Avenue.
