Augusta, GA---Mrs. Eleanor M. Dunn, 89, entered into rest on Thursday, January 13, 2011, at University Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, in the Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel, with Reverend Walter Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at West View Cemetery.
Mrs. Dunn was a native of Augusta, GA, was a graduate of Tubman High School for Girls, class of 1938 and was a member of the Bible Church of Augusta.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David W. H. Dunn, her brother, Reverend Clarence C. Murphy, Jr. and by her parents, Clarence C. Murphy, Sr. and Pearl Dennis Murphy.
Survivors include her son, David W. Dunn, daughter, Carol D. Howell and husband Eric, all of Evans, GA, three grandchildren, David T. Dunn and wife, Sherry, George A. “Trey” Reeves III and wife Lesley and C. Grant Howell, four great grandchildren, Tosha Dunn, Katharine Ann Reeves, George A. Reeves IV and Eleanor Elizabeth Reeves and her sister in law, Rebekah T. Murphy.
Pallbearers will be Trey Reeves, Grant Howell, Eric Howell, Clement Rogers, Bill Sherman and David T. Dunn.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 17, 2011 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at Platt’s Crawford Avenue.
