Evans, GA - Edwin Pierce Brown, Jr. entered into rest on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at 84 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 3, 2018 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with Dr. Danny Barton officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park.

He was born in George, NC on November 25, 1933, the first of three siblings. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Anne Shields Brown. Ed leaves behind a legacy of life long accomplishments beginning with graduation from Westtown High School class of 1952 before attending Guilford College class of 1956. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. Ed built a strong reputation as a realtor where he served as President of the Realtor’s Association, earned Realtor of the Year and was a member of the Million Dollar Club for several years. Ed’s roots as a North Carolina Quaker lead to a life of philanthropy and a passion for improving the lives of those around him. Ed was also an avid BMW enthusiast owning many different models of BMW's over his lifetime.

Ed is also survived by his daughter Anne Heath Moss, his son Mark Shields Brown (Lynn), his sister Dottie Shoffner (Bob) and brother Andrew Brown, his grandsons Ash Moss, Alex Brown, Grant Brown, his granddaughters Brittany Heath Kruithof (Adam), Elizabeth Brown, Jane Ellis Brown, and his great grandsons Jack Bennet Kruithof and William Heath Kruithof.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
