Edna Opal Belger

Augusta, GA---Mrs. Edna Opal Belger, 89, entered into rest on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at her residence.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at West View Cemetery with Dr. Roy Head officiating.

Mrs. Belger was born in Augusta, the daughter of the late William W. Price and Mary Faulk Price. She was retired from the Kroger Grocery Corporation and was a member of the Baptist faith. She loved to travel and enjoyed bowling. However, her joy in life was having her home full of her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Daniel Belger, who passed away in 1991 and by five brothers, William Price, Jr., Doyle Price, James Price, Jerry Price and Ray Price.

She is survived by two daughters, Beverly Belger and Faye Belger Smith and son in law, David H. Smith, two brothers, Nathan Price, Sr. and Tommy Price, Sr., three sisters, Jewell Davis (Herman), Janice Dye (James) and Linda Cassell (Thomas), two grandchildren, Devin Smith and Brett Smith and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express a special “Thank You” to Valentina, Aleisha, Michelle, Jennifer and all of the staff of MSA Hospice for their loving care.

Pallbearers will be David H. Smith, Brett D. Smith, Robert Sutton, Scott Grice, Jeff Scott and Travis Blitchington.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Platt’s Crawford Avenue.
