Edith Dora Gomillion Lamoureux

Mrs. Edith Dora Gomillion Lamoureux, 80, of Augusta, GA entered into rest, Friday April 22, 2016 at the Augusta University Medical Center (Medical College of Georgia).

Mrs. Lamoureux was born December 16, 1935 in Aiken, SC and was a lifelong resident of Augusta, GA.
Mrs. Lamoureux was a mother, grandmother and homemaker. She spent her final years enjoying her grandchildren and her beloved pet, Spike.

Mrs. Lamoureux is survived by a brother, Mr. Everett Gomillion and sister-in law, Mrs. Anne Gomillion. She was the beloved mother to five children, Beverly Hixon, Brenda Patrick, Jeffrey Williams, Donna Maltsberger, Melissa Hall and son in law, Donald Hixon. Additional survivors include two grandchildren, Amanda Hall and Alexis Maltsberger and several nieces. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Lamoureux, brother, Billy Gomillion and son-in-law, Byron Hall.

Mrs. Lamoureuxs’ family would like to thank all of those who cared for her during her last few months. We would especially like to thank Dr. Ward Rogers and his staff for her long term care and the staff at Stevens Park Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, April 25, 2016, from 11:30 am at 511 Meldon Rd., Evans, GA.
