Evans – Mr. Earl W. Allen, Sr., beloved husband of the late Ann K. Allen, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, October 4, 2013.

Mr. Allen will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral services which will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Martinez Baptist Church with the Rev. Phillip Winsett and Luke McGee officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Bob Anderson, Butch Lord, Larry Lord, Calvin Sanders, Wally Taylor and Steve Yonce.

He is survived by his son, Earl W. “Doc” Allen, Jr. (Nonah), his daughter, Bonnie A. Price (Joe), a brother, Ray Allen, a sister Bobbie Anderson (Bill), his grandchildren, Phillip Price (Shasta), Nathan Price, Katie McGee (Luke), Evie DeLoach (Andrew), Laura Paulos and Katie Paulos, as well as six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann K. Allen, and his sisters, Lois Franklin and Jean Lord.

Mr. Allen loved the Lord and his family and was a passionate fisherman and traveler. He was the founder of CSRA Camperland, Inc., and had served on the Columbia County Planning and Zoning Commission for 30 years. He was one of the founders and a Director of First Columbia Bank, a past President of the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce, a past director on the Board of Georgia Bank and Trust, a past Post Commander of American Legion 205, as well as a Sunday school teacher, Deacon and Trustee of Martinez Baptist Church.

A special thanks is sent to the staff of NHC for their loving care of Mr. Allen.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening, October 7, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
