Modoc, SC - Earl Arnold Rodman, 85, entered into rest on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with Rev. Robert Patton and Rev. Charles Jenkins officiating. Interment with military honors to follow at Westover Memorial Park.

Mr. Rodman was born in St. Louis, Missouri and worked construction all his life. The family moved down to Georgia in 1969 and he worked for AJ Kellos Construction Company and then he owned Triangle Contractors. Mr. Rodman was a member of Evans Presbyterian Church and then Holy Cross Presbyterian where he was a deacon. He was very active with the Scouts and was the Scout Leader, a member Habitat for Humanity, and the Modoc Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Rodman loved Clarks Hill Lake and retired there. He owned A Childs Paradise for Learning Daycare Center for 14 years where all the kids called him grandpa.

Mr. Rodman is survived by his wife of 58 years, Fern Schweigler Rodman; his son, Mike Rodman (Melissa); his daughter, Beth Rodman Reville (Mickey); his 5 grandchildren, Amber, Gray, Conor, Mick, and Kristie; and his 2 great-grandchildren, Aly and Ady.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, January 17, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
