Dorothy Powell Gates

Augusta, GA – Mrs. Dorothy Powell Gates, 77, wife of the late Mr. William “Bill” Gates, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at her residence.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 17, 2008 at Westover Memorial Park at 2:00 PM with Rev. Michael Davenport officiating.

Mrs. Gates was a lifelong resident of Augusta and worked for Silverstein Cleaners at Fort Gordon.

Survivors include her brother, Marion Powell and wife Carolyn of Augusta, GA; her sister, Mary Sue Brown and husband Dean of Augusta, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
