Dorothy Davidson Moss

Augusta, GA – Dorothy Davidson Moss, 93, entered into rest on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at University Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 31, 2016 at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Dr. J. Andrew Menger officiating.
Dot was born in Evans, GA to the late Juett Taylor Davidson and Ruth West Davidson. She loved her family dearly, and was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Dot enjoyed tending her flowers, spending time at Clarks Hill Lake and being part of a fun-loving group of friends who were known as the “Biddie Committee”. She was committed to walking five miles a day for many years, which contributed to her long and active life. Dot was a member of the Irish American Heritage Society and Camellia Garden Club, of which she was past treasurer.
Survivors include her children: Ben F. Moss, III (Patricia) of Augusta, GA, Lynn M. Norvell of Augusta, GA, and Susan M. Bass (Bill) of Modoc, SC; sister: Montyne “Kitty” Thompkins of Columbus, GA; seven grandchildren: Ben F. Moss, IV (Nicole), Austin M. Moss, Elizabeth N. Moss, Leigh T. Sundem, Scott A. Sundem, Jr., Katherine F. Norvell, Sarah B. Versaggi (John), four great grandchildren: Ben F. Moss, V, Ava M. Thompson, Reeves Versaggi, and Will Versaggi; and several nieces and a nephew. Dot was preceded in death by her parents, her brother: James T. “JT” Davidson, and sister: Frances Dunn.
Pallbearers will be Ben F. Moss, IV, Austin M. Moss, Scott A. Sundem, Jr., J. Duncan Fordham, Steven O. King, Randall T. Vernon, and Robert W. “Bo” Hunter.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the funeral home.
