Augusta, GA – Mr. Derrick Eugene Durham, 76, beloved husband of Emily PAugusta, GA – Mr. Derrick Eugene Durham, 76, beloved husband of Emily Peters Durham, entered into rest on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at University Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 15, 2013, in the chapel at Warren Baptist Church with Dr. David McKinley and Rev. Dave Dillard officiating. Interment with military honors to follow in West View Cemetery.

Mr. Durham was born in Augusta to the late Lamar and Viola Hunnicutt Durham. He served his nation proudly in the United States Navy. Mr. Durham was president and owner of Small Business Resource Center. He was a member of Warren Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and also as a Sunday School teacher.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Durham is survived by his sons, Brett Durham (Ranjani) and Blake Durham (Jennifer); his daughter, Elizabeth Gay (Joshua); his grandchildren, Joseph Durham, Maguire Durham, Mayers Durham, Maslin Durham, Maeli Durham, Maribel Durham, and Nora-Kate Gay; and by his siblings, Betty Williams, Peggy Taylor (Doug), Jackie Adams (Jimmy), and Vicki Balkcum (Skip).

In addition to his parents, Mr. Durham was preceded in death by his brother, Vernon Durham and by his sisters, Corrinne Reese and Joan Reese.

Pallbearers will be Bob Coursey, Andy Jordan, Champ Newsome, David Rees, Sam Thomas and Mike Wren.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Fleming Sunday School Class.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Warren Baptist Building Fund, 3203 Washington Road, Augusta, GA, 30907.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 until service time in the Warren Baptist Chapel.
