Nashville, TN---Mr. Delmar L. Duskin, 83, passed away Monday, May 18, 2009, in Nashville, TN.
A celebration and tribute to his life will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2009.
Visitation with the family will be from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, at Platt’s Crawford Avenue.
Graveside services and interment will follow at 1:00 pm, with Pastor Brian LaFavor officiating, at the Westview Cemetery. Full military honors will be rendered, by the U.S. Army Honors Team.
Mr. Duskin served his country proudly for 20 years in the U.S. Army serving in WWII and the Korean War. He also retired from the City of Augusta, GA with the Water Department as a plant operator. He was a life-long member of Crawford Avenue Baptist Church and the McGee Sunday School Class.
Mr. Duskin is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Vera Cliett Duskin.
He is survived by his brother Charles Duskin (Lurline) of Holland, MI, several nieces and nephews, devoted son Tony Moates (Lynn), and devoted daughter, Janet Regen (Phil). Mr. Duskin was blessed with seven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren that he loved very much.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Duskin’s grandsons, Hugh Moates, Gerald Dees, Marc Moates, Jonathan Dees and great grandsons, Jimmy Beasley, Trey Dees, Michael Nasworthy, Duskin Shelley, and Catlin Lyon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Crawford Avenue Baptist Church, 507 Crawford Avenue, Augusta, GA 30904 or the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
