David Brooks D.B. Kitchens

AUGUSTA, GA – Mr. David Brooks “D.B.” Kitchens, 94, beloved husband of the late Ruby Lee Flanigan Kitchens, entered into rest on Friday, May 31, 2013.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 3, 2013 in West View Cemetery with Mr. Pete Garland officiating.

David was born and grew up in Augusta. He was in the U.S. Army during WW II and saw action in France and Germany. David retired from the IBEW as a construction electrician. He was a devoted husband, father, and friend.

David is survived by his daughters, Marie Kitchens Wilkie of Ocean Springs, MS, and Linda Lee Kitchens of Augusta; nine grandchildren and a special friend, Pete Garland.

In addition to his wife, David was preceded in death by his daughter, Hazel Ann Kitchens, and son, David Wayne Kitchens.

David will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
