Mr. Dave “Bubba” Weeks

Augusta, GA – Mr. Dave “Bubba” Weeks, 76, entered into rest on Monday, February 28, 2011 at Doctors Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with Rev. Chris Fulmer officiating. Interment to follow in Westview Cemetery.

Bubba was born and raised in Augusta and worked for the city of Augusta as a Master Mechanic until his retirement. He loved spending time with his family, fishing, and working on cars.

Bubba is survived by his son, David Edward Weeks, Jr. (Shannon) of Augusta; his four daughters, Roxanne Adams (Allen) of Bath, SC, Darlene Davis (Timmy) of Augusta, Angie Mendes (Gary) of Bath, SC, and Michelle Schlagenhauser of Augusta; his two sisters, Viola Powell (James) of Augusta and Laverne Reeves (Donnie) of Thomson; his twelve grandchildren, Danny Adams (Linda), Chad Adams, Teresa Larsen, Linda Wing, Harry Moseley, Dean Massaro, Dave Weeks, Brandon Weeks, Amanda Weeks, Christy Weeks, David Davis, and Bryson Weeks; and also by his 24 great-grandchildren.

Bubba was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Juanita Drake Weeks, his daughter, Barbara Lanford, and by his granddaughter, Tracey Brown.

Pallbearers will be Timmy Davis, David Davis, Dave Weeks, Brandon Weeks, Dean Massaro, and Danny Adams.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, March 2, 2011 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
