Dave Arens

Dave Arens, 79, of Evans, Georgia, passed away on June 30, 2022 in Augusta, Georgia. Dave was born in Bloomington, Illinois to Harlan and Gerrie Arens on December 12, 1943. He went to school in Gibson City, Illinois. He graduated from University of Nebraska. He married Shirley Hoffman on May 22, 1981.

He worked most of his life in poultry processing management in various places. In his adult life, Dave loved playing the game of baseball and golf. Dave is preceded in death by his parents.

Dave is survived by his wife, Shirley, his sister Joni Buckland(Rob); nieces Christina and Amy and nephew, David. He is also survived by his children and grandchilden: Becky Hester (Darren), Beth Baillie (Rich), Kirk Arens (Amy), Anne Cockerham (Nate): Grandchildren Allison, Michael, Jack, Ally, Sam, Joe, Paul, Will, Greyson, Tucker, Cooper, Cora and Cal and a great granddaughter Goldie Jean.

The family of Dave wishes to extend our sincere thanks Dr. Rich Livingston and the ICU 5th floor staff at Piedmont Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
