Darah Jennings Folger

d. August 8, 2008

Evans, GA – Mrs Darah Jennings Folger, 81, “Granny Folger” went to be with her beloved Lord on August 8, 2008.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday August 11, 2008 at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Rd. chapel with Pastor Russell Folger and Rev. Wesley McClain officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

“Pete” provided a spiritual heritage for her family and friends. All she knew she loved; All who knew her loved her. She attended Calvary Tabernacle Pentecostal Church. Who could find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. She worked willing with her hands making crochet doilies and blankets. She loved to sing praises and prepare God’s house for others to worship. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates so that her goal to dance around the throne with her children and grandchildren may be fulfilled.

Survivors include four sons, Ralph Edward Folger Jr. of Augusta, Johnny Joseph Folger (Lynn) of Grovetown, Bobby Gene Folger of Thomson, Billy Jennings Folger (Cathy) of Augusta, one daughter, Rosemary Folger Tenney (Paul) of Grovetown, two brothers, Billy Widener of North Augusta, SC, Arthur Widener (Candy) of Virginia Beach, VA, two sisters, Eva Bell Moore of Augusta, Becky Lowe of Commerce, GA, 17 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren. Mrs. Folger was preceded in death by her husband, the late MSGT Ralph E. Folger.

Pallbearers will be Travis Mason, Mark Cavaness, Craig Folger, Joey Folger, Phillip Burdette, and Mark Maddox.

The family will receive friends on Sunday August 10, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Rd.
