Columbus Paul Dorn

Augusta, GA – Mr. Columbus Paul Dorn, 65, beloved husband of Mrs. Carolyn Black Dorn, entered into rest on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at University Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 4, 2012 at Platt’s Crawford Ave. Chapel with the Rev. Jacek Szuster officiating.

A native of Alexandria, LA., Mr. Dorn retired as a Nursing Assistant with the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Uptown Division. He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of The Catholic Church of the Most Holy Trinity .

Additional survivors include a son, John Paul Dorn; a daughter, Juanita Nicole Dorn Sanders and husband, Arthur Lee, III.; a step son, James M. Fields, Jr.; a sister, Sylvia Bonita Dorn Henry and husband, Harlan; five grandchildren, Brittany Amber Dorn, Brandon Austin Dorn, Brianna Autumn Dorn, Dana Ashlyn Dorn and Alexander Hoppmann; a cousin, James Dorn and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, May 3, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
