Cheryl Temples Player

Lexington, SC – Mrs. Cheryl Temples Player, age 65, entered into rest on Thursday, March 7, 2012 at Lexington Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Platt’s Belair Rd. Chapel.

Cheryl was born in Augusta, GA on December 27, 1946. She graduated from Richmond Academy and obtained a Bachelors of Arts Degree from Brigham Young University. Cheryl was employed by and eventually retired from Augusta State University in Augusta. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Cheryl was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister.

Those who knew Cheryl are filled with a profound sorrow at the loss of such a beautiful and gentle human being. May she finally rest in peace.

Survivors include her two sons, Tucker Player (Amber) and Scott Player all of Chapin, SC.; one grandson, Holden Player; one sister, Susan Bowles (Chris) of Augusta, GA; two brothers, Tony Temples (Renee) of Appling, GA, and Steve Temples (Mary Anne) of Swainsboro, GA.; and a sister in law, June Temples of Augusta, GA. Cheryl was predeceased by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.W. Temples and her brother, Craig Temples.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 2:00 PM until service time.
