Cathy Brooks

Mrs. Cathy Anne Bussell Brooks, age 64, of Eatonton, entered into rest on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at Augusta University Medical Center.

Cathy was born in Jacksonville, Florida on November 6, 1954. She was the daughter of the late Otis Bussell of Jacksonville, Florida and Mary Lois Reid Barnhill of Soperton, Georgia. A former resident of Treutlen County, Cathy had lived in Putnam County the last 15 years where she attended Lakeside Church at Oconee. She had previously worked for the State of Georgia. Cathy enjoyed cooking, collecting antiques, and taking care of her little poodles. She was extremely loving and proud of her daughters and grandchildren. As a result of her generous spirit and pleasant personality, she was loved by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Theron Kemp of Eatonton; children, two daughters, Kimberly R. Keen (Jeffrey) of Savannah and G. Renee Mosley (Hank) of Lyons; grandchildren, Adrianne L. Keen of Vidalia, Daniel T. Keen of Savannah, Nicole Moran (Joey) of Pittsburgh PA, Lance Mosley (Lindsay) of Ogden UT and Spencer A. Mosley of Lyons; and great grandchildren Saydie Grace Wilkins of Vidalia, Ava Moran of Pittsburgh PA and Christian and Lucy Mosley of Ogden UT.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 11:00 am at Lakeside Church at Lake Oconee.
