Caroline Hull Eve, Mrs. Henry Prontaut Eve, died peacefully at her home October 6, 2012, after an extended illness.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Good Shepherd, with the Very Reverend Robert Duncan Fain officiating. The family will receive friends in the Parish Hall following the service.

Mrs. Eve is survived by her daughter, Mary Hull Eve Frazier and husband Herbert Hancock Frazier of Sullivan’s Island, S.C.; grandsons, Charles Rainsford Marks, Jr. of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Henry Eve Marks of Waynesboro, Ga., and a great granddaughter, Celia Eve Marks. Other family members include Herbert A. Frazier, Boston, Mass.; Christina Frazier Jervey and husband Travis Jervey, and their children, Frazier and Johnnie Jervey of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.

Mrs. Eve was a devoted member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, where she served for many years on the Altar Guild and the wedding committee. She was a member of the Augusta Town Committee of the National Society of Colonial Dames in America, and a longtime trustee of the Tuttle Newton Home, serving on the mothers’ aid committee for many years.

Her many community interests included membership in the Gateway Garden Club, Historic Augusta, and the Morris Museum of Art. She was a volunteer at St. Joseph’s Hospital, a founding member of the Spinsters Club, and a former member of the Junior League of Augusta, the Augusta Museum of History and the Augusta Country Club.
