Betty Davidson Turner (Big Granny), entered into rest on Saturday, February 4, 2017.

She was born in Cedar Key, FL July 31, 1927, and graduated from Chiefland High School in 1945. She attended Stetson University, Vorhees College, Georgia Southern, and Nova University where she received her teaching degrees. She taught in Public, College, and Technical Schools. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Nathan Turner in 2008. She was a member of The Sanctuary Church in Evans, GA
.
Betty has two sons, David and his wife Pam, and John and his wife Katrina. She leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Lauren Turner Akers (Bobby), Brittani Turner Amerson (Kyle), Cody Turner, Jamie Turner Brock (James), Taylor Turner Lear(Kyle), And Colt Turner(Samantha). Betty was a great grandmother to Kamron, Jacob, Gabe, and Keagan Stalcup; Aiden Turner, Cassie, Katie, Tori, Lilly, Ginny, Danielle Grace, Luke Brock; Cayden and Madeline Arrington.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday February 8th, 2017 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with the Rev. Eddie West officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
