Martinez, GA – Bettie Jean Boatright, 65, loving wife of Mr. George E. Boatright, died Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the Medical College of Georgia.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at West Acres Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Harmon and Rev. Colie Irby officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Boatright was born in Macon, GA. She was a longstanding member of West Acres Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and participated in the seniors group. Mrs. Boatright spent many years working in child development. She actively sought to improve children’s lives her entire life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons; Ernest Boatright and wife Paige of Jacksonville, FL, G. Michael Boatright of Martinez, GA, three daughters; Linda J. Screws and husband Jeff of Evans, GA, Joann Reeves and husband Billy of Grovetown, GA, Lisa M. Stringfield and husband Jon of Evans, GA, three sisters; Edna Davis, Laverne McDaniel, and Patricia Hart, one brother; Billy Joe Davis, 10 grandchildren, 2 greatgrandchildren, 6 nieces, and 10 nephews. Mrs. Boatright was preceded in death by her parents; the late Ober and Nellie Price Davis.

Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be the Love Sunday School Class.
