Anne Warr Harrell

Anne Warr Harrell, 83, of Augusta, Georgia, passed away on December 24, 2013 at the Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with the Rev. Dr. J. Andrew Menger officiating. Interment to follow in Westover Memorial Park.
Anne was born in Augusta, Georgia on November 7, 1930. She graduated from Tubman High School for Girls and continued on to the University of South Carolina.
An avid member of the Augusta Bridge Center, she was an accomplished duplicate bridge player. She achieved Life Master status in the 80s and taught dupilcate bridge for many years.
Anne was married to Horace Lamar Harrell and is survived by their three daughters, Kathryn Harrell Boswell, Carolyn Harrell Brawley and Leigh Harrell McGahee.
Lovingly called “Annie” by her devoted family, she is also survived by her six grandchildren, William Jesse Boswell, Kathryn Boswell Dennis, Emily Anne McGahee, Carolyn Boswell Janse van Rensburg, Megan Leigh McGahee, Rachael Amanda McGahee, and four great grandchildren, William Jesse Boswell IV, Sara Blake Dennis, Asher Arden Boswell and Walker Altman Dennis.
In addition, Anne is survived by her brother Robert Warr and preceded in death by her brothers, Cooper, Carroll and Morris Warr.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 27, 2013 from 11:00 AM until service time.
