ALMA L. JENKINS

DALTON, GA – Alma L. Jenkins, 86, of Dalton GA. and formerly of Augusta GA., passed away Friday June 3, 2011 at Ridgewood Manor Nursing Home in Dalton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ervin & Jenny Jenkins; brothers, Roy Jenkins, Eugene Jenkins, Eliza Jenkins, Norman Jenkins, Harry Jenkins, J.D. Jenkins and Clarence Jenkins.

She was a member of Lakeview Assembly of God.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Yvonne & Ted Miller of Chatsworth, GA; brother Emory Jenkins of Augusta, GA; sister-in-law, Myrtle Jenkins of Sylvania, GA; grandchildren, Leah & Phil Garrison, Christine & Mitch Sutton and Martha & Eric Nall; great-grandchildren, Jasmine Nall, Wesley Nall and Caden Sutton; nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service to honor the life of Alma Jenkins will be held Monday, June 6, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Platt’s Funeral Home, 721 Crawford Ave., Augusta, GA, with Rev. Ted Miller and Rev. Charlie Benson officiating. Burial will be in Westover Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be: Phil Garrison, Mitch Sutton, Eric Nall, David Fergerson, Charles Andrews and Wesley Nall.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM.
