MRS. ALICE POWELL BROWN

NORTH AUGUSTA- Mrs. Alice Powell Brown, 91, widow of the late John Burns Brown, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at University Hospital.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 10:00AM at the mausoleum at Westover Memorial Park with the Rev. Emmitt Tip Carroll officiating.

Mrs. Brown was a self employed beautician for many years. She served on the Volunteer Board at University Hospital for 19 years, and was a member of Central Christian Church.

She is survived by her daughter in law, Cathy Brown, her grandchildren, Craig Brown (Michelle), and Laura Weatherford (Richard), her great grandchildren, Sydney brown, Chris Brown, Hannah Weatherford and Devan Weatherford, a sister, Eugenia Turner, her favorite niece, Janice Gesche, and numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Julian Brown.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, May 24, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00PM.
