Alice Davis Mcknight

Augusta, GA---Mrs. Alice Davis McKnight, entered into rest on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at her residence.
Graveside services and interment will be held, at 4:00 pm on Thursday, June 4, 2009, at Westover Memorial Park with Dr. Leslie Holmes officiating.
A native of Atlanta, GA , Mrs. McKnight graduated from Washington Seminary High School and Marjorie Webster College. She was an avid Bridge Player and was a member of the Camellia Bridge Club. Mrs. McKnight was also a member of the Augusta Country Club, the Pinnacle Club and Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband, the late Mason Harris McKnight, Jr.
Devoted to her family, she is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Libby Engler (Doug); three sons, Mason Harris McKnight III (Lou), William Davis McKnight (Janet) and George Locke McKnight, all of Augusta; twelve grandchildren, John Douglas Engler, Jr., Elizabeth M. Engler Beman (Davis), Mason Harris McKnight IV, Matthew McHorther McKnight, Marshall Dougherty McKnight, Jane Marie McKnight Kinsey (Joe), Blakely French McKnight, Aubry Davis McKnight, Dowtin Kennedy McKnight, Catherine Kennedy McKnight, Elizabeth Clay McKnight and George Locke McKnight, Jr.; a great grandson, Davis Howell Beman, Jr.; and her devoted caretaker, Myra Stone.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. McKnight’s grandsons and Gene Carter and Robert L. Moore.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 from 5:00PM until 7:00 PM.
