Alfred Bernard Williams

Augusta, GA – Alfred Bernard Williams, 71, entered into rest on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at University Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Jerry Sharpe officiating.

Alfred was a wonderful husband, loving father, and a loyal and faithful friend. He always thought of ways to help people.

Survivors include his wife, Paula D. Williams, three daughters, Marty Hill (Martyn), Jennifer Houk (Michael), Megan Underwood, one brother, Ralph Williams (Sandra), one sister, Nancy Clark, grandchildren, Jennifer, Michelle, Emily, Marie, Jay, David, Bryann, and Zachary.

Pallbearers will be Lynwood Duggan, Robert Dasher, Junior Huff, Hoyt Cole, James Martin, and Norman Padgett. Honorary pallbearers will be past and present employees of Augusta Newsprint.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the funeral home.
