Adrienne Harris Dill

Evans – On Thursday, February 19, 1987, God blessed us and the world with a beautiful baby girl named Adrienne Marie Harris. Adrienne was educated in the Columbia County schools and graduated with the Greenbrier High School, class of 2005. She loved learning and being part of the “Wolf Pack”, and was a member of the volleyball team.

She graduated from Valdosta State University with honors in 2009, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Medicine. While attending Valdosta State, she met the love of her life, Jesse Wayne Dill. The two were married in beautiful Forsyth Park, Savannah, Georgia on March 30, 2012.

Adrienne was employed by the Medical College of Georgia in the Office of Student and Multicultural Affairs; she loved working with the students and faculty. Civic duty was very important to her and as a result, she was a member of the provisional class of the Junior League of Augusta.

After a brief, but courageous fight with cancer, Adrienne went home to be with the Lord on December 13, 2013 at University Hospital with her husband, Jesse, by her side. She was 26 years old.

In addition to her loving and devoted husband, Jesse W. Dill, she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter S. Harris (Jackie) of Evans, her brother, Brian S. Harris (Karen) of Brunswick, Georgia, maternal grandmother, Evangelist Mae Ola Mason, loving mother in law, Ms. Mona Dill of Seattle, Washington, aunts, uncles, six sisters in law, six brothers in law, and numerous loving cousins.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff of the Medical College of Georgia, Dr. Kim Halbur, and to her many dear friends. Also, a special thanks to the Oncology staff of University Hospital, 10th floor.

If so desired, memorials may be made to the Lydia Project, 1369 Interstate Parkway, Augusta, Georgia 30909, or at www.thelydiaproject.org.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Platts Belair Road Chapel with Pastor Bobby Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am until service time.
