William “Bill” Hiram Thigpen Jr. entered eternal rest on October 7, 2025.
Bill was born on January 15, 1977, in Augusta, Georgia, to William Hiram Thigpen Sr. and Patricia T. Chavis.
Together with his wife, Jeni, and their sons, Bill proudly served the CSRA community through their family business, Thigpen Forest Products. His strong work ethic, leadership, and commitment to excellence were evident in everything he did. The business he built with his family will continue under their care and direction, just as he trained and inspired them to do.
Bill had a deep love for the outdoors. When he wasn’t working, you could often find him in the woods riding his Razor or hunting, on the water boating or fishing, or in his cookhouse sharing his gift for grilling with family and friends. His joyful spirit and love for life reflected the goodness of his heart and the quiet strength of his faith, which guided the way he lived and loved others.
He is preceded in death by his father, William Hiram Thigpen Sr.
Bill is survived by his wife, Jeni Thigpen; his sons, Mac Thigpen (Courtney) and Cooper Thigpen (Carsen); and his grandson, Forest W. Thigpen. He is also survived by his mother, Patricia T. Chavis, and stepfather, Bobby Chavis; his in-laws, Leonard and Dean Tankersley; his sister, Michelle Schumpert (Michael); his brother-in-law, David “Dave” M. Massey Jr. (Lorene); sister-in-law, Marci Tankersley; nieces, Alexis Griffith (Dylan), Lindi Boyd (Savanah), and Lani Boyd (Jeremy); nephews, Jimmy Bozard (Gracie), Corbin Schumpert, and David “Doc” M. Massey III (Kinsey); and grandnephew, Asher Griffith.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel.
Bill will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the love he shared with all who knew him.
