William "Bill" Goodwin

Mr. William C. “Bill” Goodwin, beloved husband of the late Betty Doolittle Goodwin, entered into rest on Thursday, October 28, 2021.
Graveside services will be held at 1:45 PM on Monday, November 1, 2021 at Westover Memorial Park with the Rev. Les Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel.
Mr. Goodwin was a veteran of the US Marine Corps. He was a supervisor at Georgia Power for 31 years, and a member of Abilene Baptist Church.
He is survived by his sons; Gary Goodwin and Mark Goodwin (Holly), his grandchildren; Morgan Johnson (Will), Meg Goodwin, Mason Goodwin and Parker Goodwin, his great grandchildren; Charley Johnson, Carter Johnson, and Collin Johnson. He is also survived by his brother and sister; Skip Goodwin (Roberta) and Cheri Lee (Wilton) as well as his nieces and nephews; Carolyn Trimmier (David), Kelly Brown, Jay Evans (Rose), Julie Crutchfield, Jennifer Van Arsdale, Clay Goodwin (Melissa), Ronald Goodwin, Karen Lumpkin, Susan Raburn, Carol Ann Pence and Bill Goodwin.
