Walter Thomas "Tom" Temple

Walter Thomas “Tom” Temple, 77, beloved husband of Jean Whitaker Temple, entered into rest on March 9, 2025.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, March 14, 2025 at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Temple worked for many years as a car salesman around the CSRA. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed playing golf and his guitar. Mr. Temple never met a stranger and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Temple is survived by his children, Marty Hall (Michael), Caine McGriff and Scottie Wilson; his siblings, Jim Temple and June Elliott (Lee); his grandchildren, Michael Hall and Lyla McGriff; and nephew Steve Elliott.
