Virginia "Ginger" Hennesy Davis

Virginia “Ginger” Hennesy Davis, entered into rest on December 29, 2022. She was a lifelong resident of Augusta, Georgia.

 Ginger lived the majority of her life in the Augusta area, after traveling the United States and Europe during her marriage and prior to becoming a mother.

Most of Ginger’s professional career included secretarial work, specifically in the automobile industry. This is where she created some of her long lasting friendships with some of the most cherished people in her life.

Over the last decade, Ginger was able to enjoy each moment of life with her two most prized possessions, her grandchildren, Jack Donnelly and Harris Catherine Bowers with whom she lived with along with her daughter and son-in-law.

Ginger is preceded in death by her parents, Sara Chew Hennesy and Willliam Donnelly. Along with her beloved step-parents, Thomas Hennesy and Louise Donnelly . She is survived by her daughter, Virginia “Lee” Bowers (Christopher and their children) and son, Leon N. Davis III. Ginger is also survived by her brothers, Edward Scott Hennesy (MJ) and William Chew (Diane) Hennesy along with loved nieces and nephews.

Her family and close friends will hold a private celebration of life in the upcoming weeks.
