Verlene Baker Childs

Mrs. Verlene Baker Childs, beloved wife of the late Jack T. Childs, entered into rest on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at her residence.
Mrs. Childs was the manager of Hill Top Auto Auction until her retirement. After she retired, she loved to travel and enjoyed her garden.
She is survived by her children, Lisa Childs Cox (Carl) and Travis Childs (Felicia), her brother, Edward Baker (Cindy), her sisters, Cynthia Roper (Robert) and Guynelle Cabe (Charlie) and her grandchildren, Stormi Adams (Jay), Bryce Childs, Hannah Cox and Corbin Cox.
In addition to her husband, Jack Childs, she was preceded in death by her parents, Jackson and Anna Baker and her brother, Winford Baker.
The family will receive friends at the Belair Chapel of Platts Funeral Home on Wednesday evening, July 13, 2022, from 6:00 until 9:00 PM.
