Terry Eugene Bray, 79, of Evans, Georgia, entered eternal rest on Sunday, June 28, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born May 8, 1947, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Walter Eugene Bray and Geneva Evelyn Gibson Bray, Terry grew up in East Atlanta and graduated from Roosevelt High School. He played football, baseball, and basketball and developed a lifelong love of sports.
As a teenager, Terry taught himself guitar and performed with the Atlanta Vibrations. A cherished highlight was opening for the Beatles at Atlanta–Fulton County Stadium in August 1965.
Drafted in 1966 during the Vietnam War, Terry served two years in the United States Army. While stationed in Colorado Springs, he discovered The Broadmoor, a place he later revisited often with family.

Terry married Judy Lewis on April 19, 1984, in Atlanta. They shared more than 42 years of marriage. After over 35 years in the Atlanta area, they moved to Evans, Georgia, about four years ago to be closer to family.
He enjoyed tennis through ALTA, league bowling, and was a devoted Georgia Tech fan, attending games at Bobby Dodd Stadium from a young age. Terry also had a passion for classic cars, was active in the North Georgia Mopar Club, and won numerous awards displaying his collection.
Terry and Judy loved traveling, taking road trips across the United States and visiting Europe, Asia, Australia, and beyond. He valued both adventure and time with loved ones.
He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, known for his strength, generosity, and gentle spirit.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Sandra Bray; and his brother, Larry Boone.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; sons Timothy Bray and his wife, Stormi, of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Michael Bray and his wife, Melissa, of Citronelle, Alabama; and daughter Sara Coleman and her husband, Charles, of Martinez, Georgia.
