Stephen Garland Tharrington

Mr. Stephen Garland Tharrington, beloved husband of Maybell Tharrington, entered eternal rest.

Mr. Tharrington was born in Henderson, North Carolina, to Stephen Alonzo Tharrington and the former Mahaley Lockemy. He began his career as a deputy sheriff in Henderson before proudly serving his country in the United States military, where he was assigned to a medical company.

Following his military service, Mr. Tharrington dedicated many years to the VA Hospital in Augusta, Georgia, until his retirement.

In addition to his devoted wife, Maybell, Mr. Tharrington is survived by his sons: Scott Tharrington (Wendy), Stewart Tharrington (Michelle), Sterling Tharrington (Renea), and Shafer Tharrington. He is also survived by five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
