Shirley Ann Smith

Shirley Ann Smith, 85, longtime resident of Augusta, Georgia, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

Shirley was born on September 14, 1940 in Sevierville, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Willie E. Smith and Edna V. Smith and the younger sister to Elmer E. Smith.

Shirley was a Certified X-ray Technician with a career spanning more than 35 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, and sister-in-law and is survived by many loving friends.

Family respectfully requests that flowers be omitted. Please make a memorial donation to a charity of your choice in honor of Ms. Shirley Smith.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Platt’s Funeral Home in Evans, Georgia, officiated by Reverend Glenn Palmer. There will be a private burial in Tennessee at a later date.
