Seeking more adventure, she then moved to Venezuela for a new work opportunity; however, after a couple of years, she returned to Augusta permanently. She was a member of the Altar Guild and St. Clair’s Guild where she took great pride in coordinating the yearly Bake Sale. As a member of Vestry several times, she served as secretary and financial advisor. Liz enjoyed teaching Bible school and Sunday school at St. Augustine.

Years later she became a member of Church of the Holy Comforter where she continued to thrive in her devotion to the Lord. She was an active member and especially enjoyed the knitting group that made prayer shawls,

Her life was filled with serving others. One of her most enjoyable ways of giving was to serve as a longtime volunteer reader for the Georgia Radio Reading Service for the Blind and Print Handicapped at Georgia Public Broadcasting studios on the Summerville campus of Augusta University.
