Sara Wall Bell, a cherished matriarch and devoted friend, was born on October 25, 1938, in the small town of Philomath, Georgia. After a full life, she peacefully departed this world on September 13, 2024, in Augusta, Georgia, with her devoted daughters by her side.
A proud graduate of Richmond Academy High School, class of 1956, Sara embarked on a career as a payroll manager at both TRW and Greenfield Industries.
Beyond her professional achievements, Sara was a loving presence in the lives of her family and friends. She embraced familial togetherness with an unmatched zeal, often gracing ball games, pageants, swim and dive meets, and countless birthday celebrations. Her passion for dance was evident; she immersed herself in years of ballroom dancing and loved sharing the dance floor with her beloved friend at Christian Singles. Sara was an avid dog lover and passed this quality down to her grandchildren.
Sara's loving legacy is upheld by her daughters, Pam Bell Johnson (Greg) and Patti Bell Eddie (Lee), as well as her stepson, Archer Bell. She was also a doting grandmother to a host of grandchildren: Adam Bell, Laura Johnson Avery, Greg Johnson, Jr. (Julie), Ashley Johnson Dixon (Clark), Leslie Eddie Carter (Drake), and Jessica Eddie Vick (Austin), Jason Eddie (Jessica)and several great grandchildren.The bonds forged through generations are a testament to her nurturing spirit.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Patsy Wall Clement, and her beloved friend and companion, Russell Bury. Sara's familial ties, however, are intertwined with sorrow as she joins those who predeceased her, including her father, Julian Bryant Wall; mother, Mary Davidson Wall; her beloved husband, William (Bill) Bell, Sr.; sister, Juanita Bishop Newberry; and brother, Joseph Bryant Wall.

Sara will be remembered for her love for family, and her unwavering joy for life. Friends and family are invited to honor her memory at the visitation scheduled for September 16, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Platt's Funeral Home - Evans, located at 337 N Belair Rd, Evans, Georgia. A graveside service will take place on September 17, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Bellevue Memorial Gardens, 4501 Wrightsboro Road, Grovetown, Georgia. May her soul find peace, and may her light continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
