Sadie Chambers Key

Mrs. Sadie Chambers Key, 87, beloved wife of 64 years of the late Ollie Allen Key Jr., entered into rest on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 20, 2023 at Platts Belair Road chapel with Rev. Michael Toluba officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Key was born in Hall County, Georgia to U.V. Chambers and Dessie Jarrard Chambers. She was a smash hand at Sibley Mill, where she retired after 30 years of service. She enjoyed shopping and traveling and was a fan of horror movies. She’ll be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her daughters, Martha Carroll (John) and Connie Kersey (Michael), her grandchildren, Kathie Toluba (Michael), Kerrie Wilson, Kevin Carroll (Nate), Kristopher Carroll, Elizabeth Jacobs (Marc) and Anthony Kersey, her great grandchildren, Haley Wilson, Marley Wilson and Natalie Toluba, as well as her sisters, Bonice Horne, Lunearl Geddings and Patricia Arnette.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Allen Key Jr., her parents, U.V. and Dessie Chambers, her brothers, David Chambers and Ronnie Chambers and a sister, Mildred Powell.
