Ranscine Pelt Rubiera

Ranscine Pelt Strom Rubiera, 81, of Grovetown, GA, passed away on January 2, 2025 in Augusta, GA at WellStar Hospital.

Ranscine was born in Griffin, GA to Jerome and Juanita Pelt on March 11, 1943. She went and graduated from Richmond Academy, Augusta, GA and West Georgia University, Carrollton GA.

She worked as a Teacher for 43 years in California and Georgia before she retired. She touched thousands of students' lives throughout her career. She was also actively involved in several Bible study groups locally, nationally, and even worldwide. Ranscine loved playing cards weekly with her girlfriends. She was a member of AA with 49 years sober. She has received numerous awards and recognitions. Her most recent “award” was given by God when she was named Prophetess Ranscine Rubiera!

Ranscine is preceded in death by her parents Jerome and Juanita Pelt, brother Randy Pelt, and niece Ashley Terzia.

Ranscine is survived by her daughters: Keller Crider (Chuck), Concetta Knox,Grandchildren: Dowlan Crider (Katelyn), Clayton Crider (Kellya), Kenzie Boyd (Noah), Daylyn Knox, Summer Knox, Emily Knox, Seven Great Grandchildren, Sisters Debra Terzia, Lese Cooper(Mike) and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at New Life Church, 250 Bobby Jones Expressway on January 11,2025 at 2pm. The family will have visitation at the church starting at 1pm prior to the service. Arrangements made through Platts Funeral Home.
