Mrs. Roselyn Glasgow Bryant, beloved wife of the late Dr. Henry G. Bryant, Jr., entered into rest on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, May 9, 2025, at the Belair Road Chapel of Platt’s Funeral Home, with Rev. Philip Hedgecoth officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM. A private burial will follow at Evans First Baptist Church Cemetery.
Roselyn was born in Ackerman, Mississippi, to the late Thomas and Charlene Glasgow. She earned her undergraduate degree from Mississippi University for Women and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of South Carolina. She began her career as an art teacher in Richmond County and later taught at Evans Middle School in Columbia County, retiring after more than 20 years of dedicated service. Evans First Baptist Church was her spiritual home, where she faithfully served as a deacon and choir member. She was also active in the Columbia County Sheriff's Auxiliary and the Augusta Garden Club.
She is survived by her children, Dr. Salita Susan Bryant, Dr. Henry Greene Bryant III (Lisa), and Harlin Glasgow Bryant (Melissa); her grandchildren, William Bryant, Alec Bryant, Hampton Bryant, Kathryn Bryant, Jackson Bryant, and Beau Bryant; and her siblings, Dr. Thomas Glasgow, Dr. Richard Glasgow, and Felicia Butler. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
Her creativity, boundless energy, and love for others will be remembered always.
