Rosalie Louise Gibson

Rosalie Gibson, born February 8, 1939, went home to be with the lord on April 2, 2025, surrounded by her family. 

Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents; Benjamin Green, Ethel Pittman, and her son; Raymond Jalbert Jr. 

Rosalie is survived by her sister; Jewel Manders, her children; Sharon Smith, Susan Faircloth, Sheila Odom (Marcus), Rhonda Gibson, Tricia Messer (Chris), and David Gibson (Stephanie), 19 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren.

Rosalie was a native of Augusta, GA, and a member of First Pentecostal Holiness church. She loved having coffee with her best friends and spending time crocheting. She was also a sports enthusiast that loved watching the game of boxing and baseball. Her most cherished past time was spending quality time with family, loved ones, and reading the word of God. She prayed for everyone she met, and her love of the word of God gave her faith and strength. Rosalie will be missed by so many. Fly high our Angel, you earned your wings.

Funeral service will be held Monday, April 7, 2025, at 12 noon in the chapel of Platt’s Funeral Home 7212 Crawford Ave., Augusta, GA 30904 with visitation one hour prior to time of service.

Burial will follow at West View Cemetery 2501 Division Street, Augusta GA 30904.

Pallbearers will be Marcus Odom III, James Smith Jr, Jimmy Odom, Danny Odom, Quentin Hutto, Will Hutto, Noah Hutto, and Ervin Johnson.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in Rosalie’s memory.
