In Loving Memory of Roberto “Bob” Garcia Castro, 71 passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026.
Bob Castro was born on April 30, 1955, in San Carlos City, Pangasinan, to Melanio P. Castro Sr. and Sofia G. Castro. He was the eldest of five surviving siblings: Melinda Castro Cayayab, wife of Mario Cayayab, Melanio Castro Jr., husband of Liz Fermin Castro, Jerry Castro, husband of Leonila O. Castro, and Marina Castro Soriano, wife of Ramil Soriano.
Bob graduated from the Mapúa Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, earning recognition as a dean’s lister. His career allowed him to travel widely and build a life marked by dedication and accomplishment.
He lived each day with a strong heart, a joyful spirit, and an unwavering determination to make the most of every moment. Bob had a remarkable way of bringing warmth and happiness to those around him, often simply by being himself.
Music was one of Bob’s greatest loves, and he was rarely without a song to sing. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures — dancing Zumba, taking long walks, solving puzzles, and spending time at home. He had a gift for making ordinary days feel special.
Above all, Bob cherished his surviving wife, Regie, the love of his life. Their devotion to one another was evident in the way they cared, supported, and found joy in the everyday moments they shared.
Though Bob has left this earth, he leaves behind a legacy that will endure forever-the love he gave, the joy he shared, the songs he carried in his heart, and the countless memories he created with all of you.
Bob will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
